Doctors Appointment and 4D ultrasound

This morning we headed off to see our midwife and check in to see how baby hansen was doing. We started off by hearing his heart beat which was about 154 beats a minute, which is pretty good. She then measured me and I was measuring 32 weeks even though I am only 31 weeks and 3 days, but she assured us it was ok and I am not going to give birth to a future line backer. Everything went great and all our test results came back normal. So we left with anticipation of our 4d ultrasound that we were having later on that night. We went to a place called Baby's 1st Photos in Riverside and my parents, my sister and her husband and Tim's parents all went with us. It was such a great experience and we can't believe how much our little one has grown. This is a copy of the DVD that they gave us. Our baby boy wasn't to shy this time around because as soon as she put the ultrasound on my tummy we got to see a great shot of his privates. He did some pretty amazing things like open his eyes, smile and frown and we even got to see his little fingers and toes. It was such a precious event and we were so blessed to share it with our families. The DVD is about 15 minutes long so just fast forward if you want. We hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

All Star baby shower

Last weekend my parents and sister hosted a baby shower for Tim and I, and it was amazing. We didn't want your typical co-ed shower so my mom got a taco lady and a margarita machine and it seemed more like a party then a shower. Well at least for everyone except me who got to enjoy the margarita machine. We had such a great time seeing all of our family and friends, we couldn't have asked for anything more. When I get a chance I will upload some of the pics. This week I have been busy at school preparing for a new school year so my postings will soon be brought to a minimum. Baby hansen is doing well and we have an appointment this Friday the 29th, so we will update you all then.

Another Dodger Game

Well last night Tim and I were invited to go with his best friend Ben and new wife Amy to the Dodger game. Amy got some great tickets from one of her friends for Ben's birthday. So we headed out to Chavez Ravine and were excited to see the Dodgers play. This was our first time seeing Manny play except for Tim who saw him a few weeks earlier. Amy told us the seats were close and that we should have a great view. Boy were we surprised when we kept walking down the stairs to find our seats. We were about 6 rows behind the Dodgers dugout. It was amazing and we even had a chance to dodge a few foul balls. I was excited but also scared because my reaction time now a days isn't the best. We had a great time except that the Dodgers lost but afterwards there was a great fireworks show. Thanks again to Ben and Amy for thinking of us! p.s. Don't mind me I am starting to look like I am 30 weeks pregnant.

Nursery

Our Nursery Furniture came in this week and so we had my parents and sister, brother in law and Maya come to help us set up the Nursery. My Dad and the rest of the guys as well as me went to pick up the furniture from the store. The store was only about a mile away so it wasn't to far of a drive. My mom, Maya and sister stayed at home and waited. The guys fit all of the furniture in the truck and off we went. They got the first two pieces up the stairs easily and without any scratches to the furniture or the walls. After putting together the hutch and the dresser the last thing was getting the crib ready. They decided to bring it up in pieces and then we would assemble it. Well my dad walked in with the headboard of the crib followed by my sister and George, and as soon as we unwrapped it we noticed that the crib was cracked. Ahh, so we called the baby store and had to return the crib. I don't know when a new one will be ready because the owners of course were not in. So here is a picture of the two new pieces of furniture we have for the nursery. Don't mind the flower print chair, we haven't gotten a new cover for it yet. Ahh the stress of planning for a new baby! :)

A day at the park with Maya

On Sunday afternoon on our way home my mom called to tell me that they were going to be taking Maya to the new park by my sisters house. Since it was on our way Tim and I decided to meet them all their. It was a great day and it wasn't to hot. Mommy and Daddy have been taking Maya to this park for a few weeks now and Papa and Nana wanted to get in on the fun. Of course Auntie was the only one to bring her camera along and I got some great shots of her running around in the water, on the swings and on the play set. We all had a great time waching her and can't believe in a few months we are going to have another little one running around with her. :)

Our Weekend Away...

Well this year I had big dreams of us going back to Hawaii for a few days or even the Caribbean for a long deserved vacation. With us expecting this wonderful bundle of joy in a few months the budget and Tim wouldn't allow it. So when Tim's sister Devon offered us their tickets to the Chargers vs. Cowboys football tickets we jumped at the offer. We were able to go to San Diego and for Tim watch his favorite football team, the Cowboys. Now I am not really a big fan of any team but I went along because I figured I would at least get to see San Diego and have a good time. Even though the starters better known as the ones that we only care to watch played one series of the game we had a great time. We got to see two chargers fans get kicked out and enjoyed watching all of the drunk and disorderly people that exist at NFL games. Our seats were great and we had a fun time taking the Trolley to and from the game. I felt like I was on the subway their was such an eclectic group of people, some scarey and some funny. On Sunday morning we woke up bright and early and went to a great place for breakfast called The Mission and decided to head over to Coronado since we both had never been their. It was beautiful and we enjoyed ourselves, we even took a few pictures. Hopefully one day we can afford to stay their and play with the rich people.
