Well it looks like I haven't blogged in quite a few months. What can I say chasing around a toddler and being a mother to a newborn not to forget also being a wife has really put a damper on my blogging. So here is a little recap on our lives from the last few months.
Our beautiful baby girl Addison Elizabeth was born on April 24th at 12:16 p.m. This day will never be forgotten because it so happened to be Easter Sunday. We were planning on having my family and Tim's over for a day of relaxing and family fun but she had other plans. We made a trip to urgent care on Saturday night because Joshua decided to take a header into one of the post on the staircase. So at 9:00 at night were driving to the hospital to have his lip checked out, hoping and praying that he did not need stitches. We were blessed that the gash was going to heal on its own with no stitches needed, but by the time we got the antibiotic prescription and got home it was around 11:00 pm. The Easter Bunny had to get things ready still, so I finally went to bed around 11:30 pm exhausted from our little adventure. At 2:30 am I felt a sudden burst and to my surprise my water had just broken. The first thought that rushed to my head was "oh no what is going to happen to Joshua's Easter." Next thought that came was oh my I am going to have a baby again! We got everything situated at home and headed off to the hospital. By the time they checked me in I was already dialated to 3cm. From there on it was just the waiting game. At around 12 noon they had me start pushing and 5 pushes later our beautiful girl was welcomed into this world. I could not believe how much "easier" this delivery was compared to Joshua. Later that day Joshua came to visit us in the hospital and got to meet his little sister for the first time and it was love at first site. Tim and I could not believe how happy we were that our little family was not complete.
